Hello Perumal,

I hate it when stuff like that happens. I had a server problem a few days ago myself. I was eating at a Friendly's and the waiter brought me a lukewarm bowl of tomato soup. I politely asked, "Sir, this soup is not hot, could you please heat it up for me?", to which he replied, "Sure. I'll heat it up with this..." And then he flipped me the bird. I dumped the bowl of soup on his head and ran. Too bad it wasn't hot enough to scald the punk.

Of course, in the good ol' days I would have lured him into getting his head near the bowl, and then I'd repeatedly slam it into my tomato soup until I bashed it open, creating a deeper, richer red marbling in the contents. And then I'd drink it so none of the other employees or patrons would disturb me again. I tell ya, Perumal, you coke me up, and I'm one cutthroat executive. Without it, I'm a limp tool of The Man.

God, I'm all wound up now. I need a drink. Hey, by any chance, are you an enabler? Do I have your permission to fall off the wagon? I could really use a drink. Just one. I promise. Tell me it's ok.

OK, back to business:

You've got my hands tied a bit here. Denim's definitely not going to work as I outlined in my previous email to you. Velour or fleece might be good for our winter lines or if I start up a film production company to shoot a period piece. As for moleskin... isn't that stuff just used for those crappy condoms that gave me the clap? Hey, is that where the game "Whack-a-Mole" came from? Nevermind, we can't have people walking around like that. That's ridiculous. I'm still trying to think of other, more reasonable solutions here... do you have a few hundred gallons of silver paint at your disposal? Is mercury poisoning still bad?

I don't know if these "options" are your way of telling me to go fuck myself, but it's starting to look that way. Listen, if you can't do it, you can't do it, and that's fine. Just tell me you can't do it. I'm giving you an out here of you don't feel like you're up to the task.

Let's start again. I've enclosed a picture of exactly what I want... can you do this?

Jonathan Land
